Portrait of Mother and Child – Inle Lake, Myanmar

At Inle, while Steve was photographing his Masterpiece Buddha figure, I met this 20 year old mother and her child and asked for permission to photograph her while she nursed her baby. There was a certain charm and strong sense of personality about her and I spent a considerable amount of time photographing and talking to her and her whole family.  I will post more pictures as I sort through them.

For additional pictures from my trip please visit my Myanmar gallery where I will be adding pictures as I work on them.

Thanks to all who commented on this picture at the Leica Forum.

Arif - Hi Norman, many thanks for taking the time to view my pictures. I am happy you liked them. I will be doing a post on Steve’s workshop and then you can decide for yourself on whether it will work for you or not. To register for them you can access his webpage and click on workshops. He only does 1-2 every year and Myanmar was his only one scheduled for this year.
Thanks again,

Norman Choi - Really enjoy your Myanmar series, all the photos are exceptional! And to be able to learn and shoot along side with Steve, my goodness.

Btw, if you don’t mind, could you let me know how I would be able to join the class?

Many thanks,
