I am basically a travel and portrait photographer who tries to find meaning of things within a larger context and tries to simplify to understand them better. My journeys have taken me to distant lands where by comparing previous experiences I have learned many lessons in life and have met many wonderful and beautiful people who have shared personal moments with me. I have been attracted to their compassion, humility, love, pride ... positive elements that give hope and confidence and bring people together regardless of race or religion.
I try to photograph beauty in all forms whether emotions, movement, or human interaction. My basic concept of life is one of mutual respect. I realize that faces may be different but human interactions and relationships are the same and so we are indeed a “family of man”.
This blog is an attempt to reconcile my thoughts with my pictures and also allows me to relive those special moments where I took these pictures and to remember the individuals and places with fondness.
Please write and let me know if you like or can relate to any of my pictures or if you know any of these faces whether in person or through your own experiences.
Thank you for taking time to view my images. May creativity, joy and peace lead you in whichever journey you choose.

Arif - Sorry for the late reply. GW is difficult since I need to finish some projects but another weekend in May will be great. I will send you an e-mail separately.
Beta - Sure Arif, it’s my pleasure to have a photowalk with great photographer like you
after all, we live in the same city too. I usually don’t have specific day for my photograph, because I carry my camera everywhere inside my bag…hehe. Do you have any plan during this golden week holiday? I stay in Tokyo, so if you are also in Tokyo during golden week then let’s meet up for a photowalk. Please let me know if you’re available during golden week
Thank you!
Arif - Thank you! Since you are in Tokyo, we should get together some time and take our cameras for a walk.
Arif - Thank you Norman, very much appreciated.
Beta - This is a beautiful portrait Arif, and I love it! Indeed Japan is also my “home” and my “family” too
))
Norman Choi - Dear Arif, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the Japanese people. Take good care!
Arif -
